The NPD cast a spell on you but behind the chimera they are a pile of festering garbage. Break the spell and get away. There’s a beautiful world out there for you.
So many people have a hard time getting over the Narcissist in their life. This is because Narcissists are incredibly skilled at pretending to love a person and be exactly what that person wants in a soulmate. The beginning of a relationship with a Narcissist is like a magical, romantic Hollywood movie.
Narcissists are also really great at making everyone around them see them as some kind of king or queen whose approval is a rare gift worth jumping through hoops to earn. Children of Narcissists spend their whole lives working to get approval from their usually critical parent. No one ever stops to think, “Hey, wait a minute. Why do we all care what this person thinks? Do I even respect this person’s values? Do I even want to be like them in any way?”
An important step in becoming mentally and emotionally free from a partner or parent with Narcissistic Personality Disorder is to stop wanting their approval or love. Just walk away from that. Walk far away and look at the Narcissist from a whole new perspective.
The Narcissist in your life is just a person. An unimportant human being on a big planet with billions of other human beings.
Their thoughts are unimportant — especially their thoughts about YOU. Their insanely twisted and incorrect opinions about you don’t matter. I repeat: They. Don’t. Matter.
You don’t need approval, validation or understanding from anyone who is so unimportant (and a crummy person!), and possibly a psychopath with sick, malevolent intentions toward you.
The Narcissist cast a spell on you but that spell is over. The chimera they created blew away in the wind and now you can see their crumminess clearly.
They are not special. They are ordinary. They are less than ordinary. They are just a tiny pile of festering, rotting garbage behind their illusion spell.
But YOU! You are the lucky one, because you have a beautiful, giving soul. You have the ability to learn, grow, evolve and become happier with each passing day.
The Narcissist(s) in your life will always be less-than-ordinary, crummy, festering garbage, but you are already on your journey to being a butterfly floating through this wonderful world.
There is a whole new world out there waiting for you. There are kind, evolved, honest, loving people in your tribe — even if you have not met them yet — people who have beautiful souls and share values like yours — people who are going to be so excited to meet you — people who will see all the good in you and appreciate you deeply and meet you halfway in healthy relationships.
Float far away from that garbage Narcissist and start enjoying your new life. Don’t look back. You have better, more important things to do. Your tribe is waiting for you. Your life purpose is waiting. The world is waiting for you.
