A REMINDER FOR TIMES OF EXTREME STRESS

If you have no immediate power to affect a situation, it’s okay to step away from it.  It doesn’t mean you don’t care.  You can learn all about it after your mental break, when you feel stronger emotionally. Ideally, you will learn there are constructive actions you can take. However, if there is NOTHING you can do (except visualize)… wouldn’t it be better to save and invest your time and effort into actions you CAN do to help the world, rather than stressing about situations you’re powerless to change?

I said “except visualize” above, because you can always visualize, even if no actions are possible. You can write a visualization about a situation by taking everything negative about it and flipping each thing into a positive opposite. Then speak that visualization of the positive, ideal version of the situation every day. Additionally, some people might want to pray.
